Cover overload, baking, and family time!

I've been rather busy here lately. I'm currently working on a new series (Mortiswood Tales) which is two books at the moment. The first, Mortiswood: Kaelia Awakening, I'm aiming to release in Autumn with the second, Mortiswood: Kaelia Falling due for release wintertime.

Having spent many, many hours working on the covers for these two new books I realised my debut novel Lies Love Tells needed a cover makeover.  Here's Lies Love Tells new cover - what do you think? It's currently updated for the Kindle and I am working on the other versions. There is a sequel to Lies Love Tells planned for release in 2014 which will rejoin Saze where the end of the first book left off. (Read about Lies Love Tells here).

Between writing and cover design I've also fitted in some baking. The other day I spent the morning baking olive, tomato, and cheese bread (which exploded during the proving process and filled the entire width of the oven shelf when cooking!) plus a rhubarb and cherry cake drizzled with rhubarb icing and chocolate. These were both made as presents so were wrapped and ribbon tied...

We've had random amounts of sunshine here, luckily most fell at half-term while my son was off school. We managed to squeeze in a few nice walks with the dog where an umbrella wasn't a necessity! Here's a nice photo I snapped a little while ago of sunny Broadstairs. Bleak House, made famous by Charles Dickens, is the building meeting the skyline in the right, and showered in sunlight!

So now I'm hoping for more sunshine but today is a little in-between. Thanks for stopping by, and of course, for reading!
