Underleaf is Out!

I've been very busy working on Underleaf, a collection comprising of sixteen tales, and it is now available for the Kindle!

The next step is to prepare the collection for paperback release which I hope to have ready in about a month.

Anyway, here's a bit about the book:

A house with a disturbing secret, jealousy which turns deadly, heartbreak in more ways than one, and people who aren’t quite what they seem make up a few of the stories within this collection.

Turn the pages and discover that there is more to each tale as you venture Underleaf...

Available from Amazon and Amazon.co.uk.

Phew, so that's Step 1 completed and it feels a small relief! Now just to work on Step 2 during the remainder of the school summer holidays! Not that it feels like summer here today, it's grey and  cool! Even the dog is huddled up indoors.

How about you, are you juggling writing with school holiday time?

First Video!

My first ever video - eek! It's a little test run I recorded last week. I am currently working on Underleaf which I'm still hoping will be available for the Kindle by the end of July. I am working super-hard on it and may have to admit that it will be out within the first few days of August instead of by the end of July! I hadn't taken into account the school summer holidays which can't help but eat into writing time!

You can add Underleaf to your Goodreads shelves here. As soon as it's available, I'll be sure to post a blog about it!

Lies Love Tells is on Goodreads here and there is a Giveaway which runs until the end of August to win a signed copy of the paperback. It is available on Amazon.co.uk or Amazon, as well as other various ebook and online sites.

I slipped down six steps at home today, well slipped on one then slid-bumped the rest (very elegant), so I'm looking forward to a cool glassful of sparkling wine this evening to ease my aches! On the plus side there's an interview (another first!) with me about Lies Love Tells in my local paper, The Isle Of Thanet Gazette, so that helped to cheer me up!

Thanks for watching and reading! Happy weekend, do you have anything fun planned?

Beach, Dog, and Desserts!

I've not posted a blog about what I've been up to for quite some time. I'm currently super-busy working on my collection of short stories which I'm aiming to release in a week or two as a collection in a book entitled Underleaf.

I thought I'd share some pictures I've taken recently of things I like/have made:

Some desserts I made - rhubarb crumble, apple crumble, and a strawberry syllabub.
Gold Award given to my son for earning hundreds of points for good behaviour.  I was very pleased with him!

In the past two months I have not managed to snap one decent picture of my dog. I think he is being stubborn and refusing to pose for me.

Views of my local beaches, taken when walking the dog. I adore the coast.

A friendly butterfly which landed on my sun-lounger. (I was editing my work in the garden, honest!)

A fruit, cherry, and nut cake I made for my father. I have no idea what it tasted like as he scoffed it all himself!

What have you been taking pictures of recently? I've found mine are (as evidenced above) of food, the beach, the dog, or my son! Next week the Torch passes through Thanet and I'm hoping to snap a few pictures!

PS: my début novel, Lies Love Tells, is available FREE for a while on Smashwords, quote coupon code SSWIN at the checkout to receive 100% discount. Also, in the next day or two I will be running a Goodreads Giveaway of a signed copy of the book.

United State of Love by Sue Fortin - Happy Launch Day!

Today's the launch day of Sue Fortin's début novel, United State of Love. I just wanted to wish Sue a very happy, and successful, launch! Congrats, Sue! Here's the book cover, isn't it wonderful? I think so!

United State of Love

When the past and present collide, love is the casualty. Why?

Since splitting from her husband, single mum Anna Barnes is enjoying her new found freedom and independence. Now she can concentrate on looking after her teenage son and building up her career. However, she didn’t bank on working for Tex Garcia.

The gorgeous American chef is getting locals hot under the collar and not just because of his culinary prowess! Beneath that handsome exterior, however, lies a man haunted by his past. Tex can’t commit and women pass through his life like dishes going out to service. So, what is it about Anna that’s different?

Can Tex break her self-imposed rule of never mixing business with pleasure and add some spice into the mix? Or is Anna’s ex set to spoilt the recipe altogether when he reappears apparently wanting reconciliation?

Buy the book on Amazon and Amazon UK.

Underleaf - It's Nearly Here!

I've been working on a short story collection entitled Underleaf. It's almost ready and due to be released in ebook format this month, with a paperback version to follow.

When I started working on this cover-put-together, this morning, it was lovely and sunny outside and I was really looking forward to a glass of fizz in the garden as the evening drew in. Well, the evening's now here...and it's raining!

Anyway, here's the cover, what do you think?
